Important: A 2016 bumper will NOT fit a 2017. A 2022 bumper will NOT fit a 2023. Each redesign includes changes to frame mounting, body dimensions, and electronics.

Exception: Rear bumpers for 1999–2007 models share the same mounting points and can interchange. This does not apply to front bumpers.

Do I need a camera-compatible bumper for a 2017+ Super Duty?

Yes, if your truck has a front camera, you need a camera-compatible bumper. Standard bumpers will not include the correct mounting provisions. Most camera relocations are simple plug-and-play and add about 15–30 minutes to installation.

Can I wire aftermarket lights into the factory fog light circuit?

No. On 2017+ trucks, the CANBUS system will trigger errors or shut down the circuit.

Use a relay harness connected directly to the battery and trigger it using factory upfitter switches.

Only 2023–2026 bumpers fit this newest generation.

What doesn’t cross over

Not compatible with 2017–2022 models.

  • Expanded use of cameras and sensors

  • Adaptive cruise and 360° cameras common

  • Same advanced CANBUS considerations as 2017+

Does a 2016 Ford Super Duty bumper fit a 2017?

No. The 2017 model was a complete redesign with a new aluminum body, updated frame geometry, and wider front end. Nothing from 2011–2016 fits 2017–2022 trucks.

Do the F250 and F350 use the same bumper?

Yes, for the front bumper. F250, F350, F450, and F550 all share the same front bumper within each generation.

For rear bumpers:

  • SRW (single rear wheel): same bumper

  • DRW (dually): requires a wider, specific rear bumper

Does engine type affect bumper fitment?

No. Gas and diesel trucks use the same frame mounting points within each generation, so bumper fitment is identical.

Does cab size affect bumper fitment?

No. Regular Cab, SuperCab, and Crew Cab all use the same bumper. Cab size does not affect mounting points.
