The BAK Vortrak tonneau cover embodies a retractable design crafted from interconnected aluminum slats. These 1/2" extruded aluminum slats, renowned for their durability, seamlessly navigate along robust aluminum rails, seamlessly retracting into a condensed canister. As they interlock, these slats establish a firm, water-resistant shield, while the matte black powder coat finish ensures exceptional scratch resistance and UV safeguarding.

The mounting rails align seamlessly with the truck's bed caps, yielding a remarkably sleek and inconspicuous appearance. When fully retracted into its canister, the cover offers virtually unhindered access to the entire bed. The canister's design incorporates a spring-loaded mechanism for effortless operation, further aided by the included pull strap that simplifies access from the tailgate.

Apart from its capability to lock securely when fully extended or retracted, the Vortrak offers two additional optional lock positions for added convenience. Initiating the cover's opening is a straightforward process: a gentle pull of the cable release from either side of the truck bed, followed by smoothly sliding the cover towards the canister.
